Friends' Best Holidays was prompted by frequently hearing friends discussing their special holidays, exchanging experiences and recommending favourite places but rarely retaining sufficient information for their own holidays. For many of us, hours are often spent surfing inappropriate websites or leafing through endless literature when relevant information and appropriate websites could easily be accessed from like-minded travellers and friends who have already researched and experienced the visit.

It seemed logical with modern technology that a 'straightforward' website could harness this wealth of personal knowledge, not only to reduce research time, but provide quick communication facilities from which to share best holidays. In addition, friends' providing holiday information would receive instant access to their own holiday information and alleviate searching through old holiday files or trying to remember that perfect hotel or restaurant they would love to return to.
