South Africa Extract of  article from the Times dated 6^th March 2005.  ‘British travellers are being warned to check their documents before visiting South Africa after an American tourist was detained overnight at Cape Town International Airport and then deported , because her passport had no blank pages left. ……The African Travel & Tourism Association in the UK said: “This is a long-running problem.  We have done our best to tell British tour operators  to advise their clients of the requirement”’.

Passport should be valid for six months from your return date into the United Kingdom  All travelling formalities should be checked out by the individual traveller.

Long Haul flights (particularly BA) We recommend reserving specific seats at the time of booking to avoid regular overbooking problems with airlines. As a last resort seats can be booked online 24 hours prior to flight departure. If all else fails then check in at the airport as early as possible.

EUROSTAR
As from 14th November 2007 Eurostar Services will be moving from London Waterloo to London St. Pancreas. The average journey on the new high-speed line is expected to be reduced by approximately 25 minutes.
