FRANCE - PIERREFEU, NR NICE

Maison Corbett Fantastic holiday home approximately one hour from Nice Airport. This wonderful character property has three bedrooms, comprising two twin-bedded rooms, each with a bath or shower room and WC. The spacious master bedroom has ensuite facilities. The twin bedded rooms have small balconies and the master bedroom opens onto a small loggia to the south and a large terrace to the north. The sitting room has an open fireplace, a dining area and open plan kitchen, all leading onto a large partially covered sunny terrace with panoramic views. One of the main features of this fabulous home is its rockbound swimming pool set into the thyme covered hillside beside the house. FRANCE - BETWEEN BORDEAUX AND ST EMILLION

Chateau Bauduc Between Bordeaux and St Emillion. Chateau Bauduc is a private wine estate in Creon. The 19th Century Chateau is owned by Gavin and Angela Quinney and they let the nearby cottage. The vineyard covers a third of the 250 acres. The cottage is available to rent throughout the year and is an ideal base. Two friends have stayed here and a god-daughter was working for the family in 2004. The 4 bedroom accommodation is a possibility if you are in a group and need self catering accommodation. Ideally suited for six due to a small fourth bedroom and lack of wardrobe space (hanging rail in main hall). Particularly spacious accommodation on ground floor and nicely furnished throughout but not considered as luxury. The house is not detached and we understand that vineyard workers sometimes have accommodation in the adjoining property which may not be ideal. We suggest you carry out your own research.
